On June 23 2016 Brenda Rangel, Claudia Medina, Martha Sánchez Soler and Pilar Arrese Alcala, four women human rights defenders from Mexico, spoke at the University of Ottawa on key human rights abuses in Mexico and offered some solutions based on their grassroots experience.
The women arrived in Ottawa on Monday to meet with media and policy makers in the lead up to the Three Amigos Summit next week. The event last night was a chance for the public to hear these remarkable defensoras tell their stories first hand. Inspired by these women, attendees ended the evening planning to take action during the Three Amigos Summit.
