Activist, One Million Signatures Campaign, Iran
Meet Sussan Tahmasebi, an activist with the One Million Signatures Campaign. Sussan and her colleagues launched the campaign in 2006 to collect one million signatures of Iranians on a petition demanding an end to legal discrimination against women in Iran. For the past ten years Sussan has worked in Iran at the national and grassroots level to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and to address gender issues and women’s rights.
