“We must stop the blood shed. We must stop the suffering.” – Dr. Rola Hallam
Meet Dr. Rola Hallam a British-Syrian doctor and Medical Director with Hand in Hand for Syria, a Syrian-led humanitarian and development organization working in Syria to provide life-saving and life sustaining essential services to civilians.
Her work as Medical Director has included public speaking and lobbying governments, the European Union, and the United Nations to increase humanitarian assistance for Syrian civilians—especially women and children. She also works to promote Syrian women’s rights more broadly and to highlight the systematic targeting of civilians, hospitals and healthcare workers in Syria.
Rola was featured in the BBC Panorama documentary “Saving Syria’s Children.”
