Iran: Free Narges Mohammadi now!
Tell Iran that defending human rights is not a crime! Iranian authorities recently sentenced Iranian human rights defender Narges Mohammadi to 22 years in prison for her work defending women’s and human rights in Iran. Join Nobel Peace Laureates Shirin Ebadi and Mairead Maguire, the Nobel Women’s Initiative, the International Campaign in Support of Narges Mohammadi and other organizations around the world to call for her release!
Narges has been imprisoned since May of 2015 when she was arrested and taken into custody to serve the remainder of a 6-year prison sentence from which she had been released early for medical reasons.

Since her arrest and imprisonment, Narges’ health has declined and she remains critically ill. Narges is a renowned Iranian human rights defender and investigative journalist now held in the notorious Evin Prison as a result of her work to promote human rights in Iran.
