In May, 2011 over one hundred remarkable women from around the world met in Montebello, Canada to develop strategies to stop the use of rape as a weapon in conflict situations. The discussions were rich, the stories shared were intense, and the strategies discussed were diverse and concrete. Nobel Women’s Initiative has published a report detailing the flavour of those discussions and ‘next steps’ to advance the movement to end the scourge of sexual violence in conflict.
