The volcano in Iceland which has grounded flights throughout Europe has provided the International Gender Justice Dialogue with unforeseen challenges. Contingency plans had been developed for almost every imaginable scenario, yet the disruption caused by volcanic ash was not one that we had imagined.
In spite of this, the Dialogue will go on. Participants from Africa and Europe will, sadly, not be able to join us in Puerto Vallarta. However we hope to include their voices in other ways by encouraging them to send us their thoughts through our blog, Facebook page, email, YouTube, and other creative ways.
To get the work of the Dialogue out to the world we will be blogging, Facebooking and Twittering non-stop from the conference, as well as posting video of the proceedings throughout the duration. We hope that those who were unable to join us in person will feel like they are here with us!
The Dialogue will now be happening on Tuesday, April 20th and Wednesday, April 21st to accommodate people who had to postpone their flights. People around the world can follow us here to keep up with the proceedings.
Starting now, be a part of the Dialogue and join us, virtually, in Puerto Vallarta. This will be your online hub for everything Dialogue so keep checking back for more blogs, photos, videos, profiles of advocates and to contribute your own content. We can’t wait to hear from you!
